Our Last Day in Turks and Caicos

We spent the day here.
Taylor Bay beach is gorgeous.

This beautiful scene is a picture of the sound. The water really is that color. It's absolutely amazing.

TCI Day 6

We spent another beautiful day snorkeling and playing at the beach. We found a great spot for snorkeling, the reef and fish were so pretty and very few people were there. As Elisabeth and I were out there a school of fish swam right by us. We also saw fish in so many different colors. The coral was beautiful as well. It was another peaceful and relaxing day.
A delicious lunch at Mr. Groupers. Harrison loved the tartar sauce.

Day 5

We went on a semi submarine today to see the coral reefs. It was awesome. We saw lots of beautiful fish and turtles and a stingray.

                   The stingray.
I wish my camera didn't have this blueish tint to it, but it was really quite colorful and clear.
             A school of fish
A sea turtle. We saw about 20 of them during our time there.

TCI Day 4

We woke up extra early and watched the lunar eclipse today. We all went to sleep for another couple of hours afterwards and then we spent the day at the beach by our house. We are about a five minute walk to this beautiful beach.

TCI Day 3

We spent the morning snorkeling at Bight Reef. Lunch was at Da Conch Shack where we had cracked conch. It has become Andrew and Elisabeth's favorite thing to eat here.
Harrison loves to snorkel. He stayed in the water the whole time we were there.
Andrew loves digging holes on the beach.
Harrison is convinced he found a shark tooth near the reef and is proudly showing it off here. Don't tell him it's only a sharp shell.
And this is how Ethan spent the morning.
Blowing into their conch shells.
Lunch on the beach.
After a full morning of snorkeling followed by an afternoon of swimming and then watching the sunset at the beach the kids were exhausted.

Turks and Caicos

We arrived yesterday. As our plane was near the island we saw the most beautiful turquoise colored water I've ever seen. Driving to the villa was an adventure because they drive on the left side here and it took a while to get used to it. We got to our villa and the kids played in the pool for awhile before we ventured out for lunch and groceries. We stopped and saw Grace Bay beach that afternoon as well. That is a beautiful beach. The kids went to bed that night early and then Jason and I relaxed by the pool and enjoyed the quiet and the beautiful stars.

Today the kids woke up and played in the pool again. We then explored the other side of the island and spent the morning at the beach. The water was a beautiful torquoise blue that was shallow and calm for hundreds of feet. We spent our time snorkeling and relaxing. (Sorry no pictures, I forgot my camera, but I'm sure we'll be back again.) We went to a restaurant near the beach and the kids discovered that they love conch fingers. We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and swimming.

Music Sharing

Ethan and Andrew and a few of Mary's other students met together and played a couple of songs for each other.
Harrison photobombed the group picture.

Harrison

Harrison at preschool. They had a multicultural breakfast and he had fun showing me all his art projects.
Harrison loves to swim.

He looks so sweet when he's sleeping. It almost makes up for his behavior the rest of the day.
