Costa Rica Day 6: Pura Vida

Our last full day at Dominical was wonderful. We discovered a waterfall near our house that we played at for most of the morning. Then we went swimming in the pool for the afternoon and spent the evening at the beach. We will miss it here. It has been a fabulous and relaxing vacation.

Jason loved this rope swing. He went on it at least a dozen times.

Costa Rica Day 1: Poas Volcano and Arenal

On the first day we arrived in Costa Rica we took a detour to see the Poas Volcano before heading to Arenal.

This is Poas Volcano. It is a crater volcano.

On the way down the windy mountain road we stopped at a strawberry stand. The kids devoured the first 2 kilos and so we stopped at another place for another two.

This is the Arenal Volcano. It took a while to get to along narrow windy mountain roads, but it was fun to see once we got there.

Costa Rica Day 5: Playa Uvita and Dominical

We played in the pool in the morning then headed to Playa Uvita for some beach time. They sell a drink called pipa fria. They take a coconut and chop the top off with a machete and stick a straw in it. It wasn't a big hit. In the pictures you can see the faces they make as they tried it. In the evening we went to the beach to watch the sunset. It was a really pleasant day.
